Instrumentarium Orthopantomograph® 3D Digital Imaging
The Instrumentarium Orthopantomograph 3D digital imaging system allows us to understand more about your anatomy from all dimensions, providing us with all the information we need to formulate the most effective treatment plans. With this technology, we can perform procedures that are often less invasive, better for your health, and offer outcomes that are more predictable.
3D digital imaging is an effective diagnostic and treatment-planning tool for:
- Dental implants
- Wisdom teeth extractions
- Impactions
- TMJ treatment
- Airway assessments and sleep apnea
- Full facial and jaw 3D images
In order to acquire your 3D image, an assistant will position you in the unit and ask you to place your chin on the chin rest. When you are in the correct position, the X-ray imaging device will rotate around your head. The scan is painless and the 3D images acquired will be available for immediate viewing on our computers.
For those concerned about radiation exposure, the Instrumentarium Orthopantomograph 3D digital imaging system uses Low Dose Technology™, one of the lowest radiation exposure settings in dental imaging. It is ideal for sensitive cases such as children, follow-ups, implant planning, or any other case where lower resolution is acceptable.
